Description

These hearty and flavorful lentil patties are a perfect addition to any fasting meal. Made with simple, wholesome ingredients, they are packed with plant-based protein and aromatic herbs, making them both nourishing and satisfying. The combination of lentils and rice creates a deliciously crisp exterior while keeping the inside soft and tender.

  1. In a food processor, blend the soaked lentils and onion until well combined.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add the cooked rice, chopped herbs, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Mix thoroughly using your hands.
  3. Form the mixture into round patties, using about 1/4 cup of the mixture per patty. Press firmly to ensure they hold together.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Carefully place the patties in the pan and fry for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Tip: Avoid high heat, as the patties may cook too quickly on the outside while remaining undercooked inside.
  6. Transfer to a plate and enjoy immediately!
